1. Type it the way you want it printed
Capitalisation, spacing and punctuation are copied character for character. If you write "maid of honour" it will be printed in lowercase; if you write "Maid of Honour" that is what you get.
2. Watch the character limits
- Tumblers & cups — up to 20 characters per line, 2 lines
- Glassware & flutes — up to 16 characters per line, 2 lines
- Keepsakes, frames & signs — up to 30 characters per line, 3 lines
Longer wording is often still possible, it simply prints smaller. Ask us first if you are over the limit.
3. Choosing a font
Script fonts look beautiful for first names and short phrases. For dates, initials and longer sentences, a clean uppercase font stays far more legible on curved surfaces such as tumblers and flutes.
4. Special characters and languages
Accents, ampersands and emoji-free symbols are all fine. Some decorative scripts do not include every accented character — if yours is unavailable we will contact you with an alternative rather than guessing.
5. Your digital proof
For engraved and multi-line items we email a proof within one working day. Nothing is printed until you reply with your approval, and the making time starts from that moment.
6. Changes after ordering
You can amend your wording free of charge any time before production begins — usually the first 12 hours. Email us with your order number and the corrected text.
